In order to reduce the mutual influence between the vertical axis and the horizontal load, the horizontal axial loading head and the pressure plate adopt a rolling connection and ensure the uniform distribution of the loading force; the horizontal axis loading frame should be able to slide in the horizontal direction to eliminate the lateral additional force.
Specimen deformation measurement: The differential transformer was used to measure the deformation in the axial and lateral gauge lengths on both sides of the specimen.
